Potsdam, NY is a town with many immersive nature scenes within walking distance from its downtown. If you’ve got transportation, the options open up. You can access a laundry list of sites, opening opportunities to explore St. Lawrence County and the Adirondack Mountains!

  • Postwood Park Beach- Cassandra Bolesh & Marceline Barnes -- 6 minute drive, 25 min bike ride, 1.5 hour walk *Town of Potsdam provides bussing to & from during the summer  

  • Nicandri Nature Center, Massena - Leah Howland -- 45 min drive north 

  • Lampson Falls- Brandi-Marie Williams, 30 minute drive west of Potsdam 

  • Azure Mountain- Orianna Cotten- about 45 minute drive east 

  • Wild Center in Tupper Lake – Jenna Switzer – about one hour southeast
